How to be a Sexy Senior
Last Update : September 13, 2017
Giving up pleasure is not part of the vocabulary of anyone who wants to remain a “sexy sixty-something” despite the passage of time. What are their secrets? Love, humour and a zest for life: it’s never too late to be attractive – and even irresistible! As far as senior dating is concerned, “grandpa” and “grandma” boomers are drawing up the instruction manual that explains what to do to stay sexy after 50 years!
#1 – Don’t – ever – say “in my day…”
After all, your day is not yet over! We have to live with the times. In any case, if you’re reading this piece, it’s a pretty good sign that you’re in tune with new media. For those of you who catch yourselves saying “in my day, everything was better”, make a rapid change to your vocabulary and take an interest in what’s going on. Being curious can help keep you young! After all, you are only as old as you feel: it is quite simply a matter of attitude!
#2 – Live your life as if it were a party
You have your very own elixir of youth: the joy you take in living! The “golden girls” having fun and a laugh and enjoying every moment are naturally beautiful. Seduction is timeless, and so is your ability to charm! If you’ve just turned 60, but you still have the playfulness of a 16-year-old girl, that’s cute. Being a grandfather yet living in the same reckless style you did in your youth: that’s rather easier said than done. So, do yourself a favour (and make us happy): get out there and enjoy your retirement!
#3 – Let “sexy” go hand in hand with “sex”
There’s no reason to think that you don’t have the right to enjoy yourself just because you’re a mature man or woman. You can boost your libido with erotic stories, sex toys, sexy dancing, etc. Because it’s exciting to punctuate your day-to-day activities with these things, you’ll be able to rekindle your Sex life – with a capital “S”. Whether for couples or single people, love and sex are not the exclusive preserve of young people (and we really don’t want to hear you sighing, “It’s not for people my age”).
#4 – Make having fun your purpose in life
You’ve surely worked, perhaps had children and even grandchildren. You’ve done a lot of things in your life, and you know the experience of putting it all on hold for a bit while you devoted yourself to your children’s education, your own career or that special person who used to share your life. Now, though, it’s time for you to take care of yourself, so put yourself first and live in the spirit of the philosopher Epicurus, for whom satisfaction was found in enjoyment.
#5 – Take good care of yourself
Perhaps a little colour would hide the grey hairs that sap your spirits? Why hesitate? Take some time to give yourself a facelift: hairstyle, clothing and – if it’s what your heart is telling you – a little “aesthetic medicine” (it will be our little secret). If you don’t know how to do this, find a makeover coach who’s willing to take care of you. Remember that feeling that you’re handsome or beautiful and dressing alluringly will have a huge impact on your sex appeal.
Yes, the simplest recipe for being sexy is to feel sexy! If you take pleasure in who you are, you will be all the more attractive.
